Hello! My name is Yusuf and I’m the Communication and Team Facilitation Intern for the REU for this summer. I am going into my third year at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, working towards my B.S. in Product Design/User Experience and a minor in Management. At the U, I’m also involved with the Al Madinah Cultural Center, serving as their vice president next year. I took on this internship experience to expand my digital toolset and to learn more group facilitation skills!

I like to be creative in a lot of different ways such as story writing, making videos and taking photos, drawing and making digital art, and making electronic music. I’ve been producing music since early high school and it was sparked by my enjoyment of the EDM genre. I’m inspired by things like nature, different world cultures, and my interests, and a lot of that influences the music I make.
