Twin Cities Torchlight 5k

I am obviously addicted to endorphins because I ran in my 3rd 5k this summer which is the Twin Cities Torchlight 5k. The 3.2 mile course begin just south of downtown Minneapolis, through downtown, along the Mississippi River, across the Stone Arch Bridge and ended near SAFL. The humidity was palpable and made it a tough run but I managed.

The post-race party.

Mini REU-union

Diana and I had dinner with Ramsey (far right) at Pagoda in Dinkytown. Ramsey is a former REU intern who traveled to Oregon to conduct dam removal research and now works as a Water Engineer Technician for the city of St. Paul. He says that this NCED REU is the reason for him becoming a water technician here in the Twin Cities. Hooray for Ramsey! Best of luck for his continued success!IMG_4181IMG_4180

The Color Run

I ran in the Color Run Twin Cities 5k at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. I actually concluded the event with about 5 times more paint than is seen in this picture. It was a memorable experience! Clean up was not fun however, I am glad I participated!
