Marica, Trinity, Dr. Ishii and I put together an interactive presentation on stormwater, filtration and turbidity for the Open Street Event. It was so great getting to share our research with the Minneapolis public.

Pipetting for Days

Mixing Assays, DNA samples and primers to finally run the MF-qPCR analysis on our water samples. Pipetting takes up about 5 hours of the process in total.

Visited CHS Field’s in St. Paul to collect samples from their stormwater system. Didn’t know how Eco friendly the field was until that day! Pictured is the team waiting for the water to run through the hose, behind 2nd base.

Taking in the beauty of the park while forming new team bonds with the REU group. I am so excited to be a part of a group that enjoys nature and adventuring as much as I do. This is going to be an awesome summer, I can feel it!
