Hello there!
As week 9 gets under way, we are finishing up our analysis and making wish lists of everything we hoped we could have done with our projects. On Monday we met with our advisors to discuss a ‘stopping point’ for the summer. Although analysis never finishes, we have set down the boundary for how far we can take our projects in the time we have left. By mid-week, we will all have drafts of our final papers and by this Sunday, everything will be complete. The summer is coming to an end and it is bittersweet.
I have definitely enjoyed my time here, and I plan on making the most of the last 12 days I have left. These last few weeks are sure to be packed full of adventures and fun as the festival and fair season continues going strong.
This past Saturday (8/2) I spent the day with Francesca at the art fairs around Minneapolis. We really enjoyed ourselves at the Uptown and Loring Park Art Festivals. After a full day admiring art in the outdoors, we headed inside to see fellow intern Jabari Jones play trombone with his band. Our advisor, Prof. Kimberly Hill, and her family were at the concert as well. It was a lot of fun to see everyone outside of the working environment!
Later this week, I will be presenting my poster at a research expo and the whole group will be taking a trip to University of Minnesota Duluth for a trip on the Research Vessel Blue Heron. I’m sure someone else will post about that when it happens!
