Week 8 at CivE: The Rush to Finish has Begun!

As week 8 gets underway, we are all feeling the pressure of finishing up our analysis and experiments. I will be participating in the Summer Undergraduate Research Expo next Thursday in addition to our REU poster presentation.  This week it is time for me to buckle down and interpret my data so I can be ready to print my poster early next week and prepare for the expo!

Despite the work that needs to be done, we took a break yesterday to go on a field trip to Northfield, MN. We visited Carleton College on a private tour led by our very own Jabari Jones. The tour included walking through the arboretum, visiting the Geology Department, and searching for fossils in a shale outcrop. See below for some pictures from our adventure!
