Aggregation of Algae- Team Stream

In the Ecolab, I will be monitoring the life cycle and cell count of these algae cultures. I will be analyzing how they behave in laboratory settings and how they respond to shear, using a couette flow cylinder.

Blue-green aglae can create many problems for fresh water sources, including toxicity, making it an area of interest, to learn why they colonize and behave they way they do. There are many factors that contribute to colonization, which include the complicated hydrodynamics of lakes and rivers.
